ANRPC facilitates policy formulation and collective bargaining on common issues confronting rubber production sector.  One of the current priorities of the ANRPC is getting eligibility for rubber plantations for receiving credit under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of Kyoto Protocol relating to climate change.

Natural rubber producing countries face a range of challenges including labor shortages, high costs, limited land availability, inadequate infrastructure, low productivity, and the impacts of climate change. Joint efforts through an inter-governmental body are essential for Member Governments to tackle these challenges effectively.
