Oil prices edged lower in early Asian trade on Wednesday, weighed down by a loosening supply-demand balance following increasing OPEC+ output.

The ringgit rebounded to open higher against the US dollar on Tuesday, as markets assessed the outlook for US President Donald Trump's tariff policy, an analyst said.

Spot gold rose 0.6 per cent at US$3,370.67 an ounce as of 0209 GMT. US gold futures were up 0.5 per cent to US$3,394.90.
