ANRPC’s Technical Committee Meeting on Plant Protection (TCPP) held at the Lembaga Getah Malaysia (MRB), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ANRPC’s TCPP was held at the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 12 August alongside the IRRDB’s Technical Workshops on Plant Protection. The TCPP serves as a platform to promote technical cooperation and coordination among ANRPC member governments, and to liaise with relevant international organizations in efforts to prevent the introduction, spread, and impact of serious rubber diseases.

The meeting emphasized the urgent need for a System Approach to Disease Risk Mitigation, with Rubber Research Institutes (RRIs) playing a key role in monitoring, managing, and sharing knowledge to combat serious rubber diseases.

🤝 Collaboration among RRIs, IRRDB, Departments of Agriculture, ANRPC, and the Asia and Pacific Plant Protection Commission (APPPC) was highlighted as essential for protecting smallholder yields and ensuring the sustainability of the rubber industry.

ANRPC also participated in the IRRDB workshops held in both Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
