Bursa Malaysia rebounded to open marginally higher on Friday, buoyed by mild bargain-hunting activities among blue chips amid Wall Street's mixed performance overnight.


At 9.10am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) inched up 2.22 points or 0.14 per cent to 1,575.24 from Thursday's close of 1,573.02.


The benchmark index opened 2.58 points higher at 1,575.60.


Meanwhile, market breadth was almost flat with 154 gainers and 161 decliners, while 277 counters were unchanged, 1,804 untraded and eight suspended.


Turnover stood at 168.00 million shares valued at RM82.45 million.
