Kingdom earns over $636M from rubber exports
Synopsis: The General Department of Rubber will continue to implement its planned work direction to achieve positive results, the Ministry says.
Cambodia earned over $636 million from rubber and rubberwood exports in the first 10 months of 2025, marking a more than 33 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the General Department of Rubber of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).
The report released on Wednesday stated that in the first 10 months of 2025, Cambodia produced 307,332 tonnes of rubber, up 11,597 tonnes, or 3.92 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Further, the report states that in October alone, production reached 46,785 tonnes, up 4,357 tonnes, or 10.27 percent, from the previous month, and up 3,495 tonnes, or 8.07 percent, compared to October 2024.
Khun Kakada, Director General of the General Department of Rubber of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), said in the report that Cambodia exported 257,322 tonnes of rubber in the first 10 months of 2025, a decrease of 33,948 tonnes, or 11.66 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
He added that the average selling price of rubber in October 2025 was $1,714 per tonne, up $17, or 1.02 percent, compared to last month, but decreased $110, or 6.06 percent, compared to October 2024 ($1,824 per tonne).
“As of October 2025, total revenue from rubber and rubberwood exports amounted to over $636 million, which was over $453 million from rubber exports, over $178 million from selling rubber in the country, and over $3 million from rubberwood exports,” said Kakada.
Kakada added that in the first 10 months of 2025, the rubber value chain, including management, maintenance, harvesting, processing, and business operations at rubber plantations and family-run rubber enterprises, continued to operate normally, unaffected by natural disasters.
