Ringgit opens firmer against US Dollar on weaker US economic data
The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar on Thursday as the greenback depreciated due to weaker United States (US) economic data recorded, an analyst said.

At 8 am, the local note rose to 4.2590/2895 against the greenback from Wednesday's close of 4.2685/2735.
Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said the weak US dollar environment seems persistent following the Moody's Rating downgrade on the country's sovereign rating last week.
