KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar on Tuesday on the rising possibility of military de-escalation in the Middle East as United States President Donald Trump announced a tentative ceasefire between Iran and Israel, said an analyst.
At 8am, the local note rose to 4.2770/2980 against the greenback from Monday's close of 4.2915/2980.
