Rubber Board launches 6th edition of Virtual Trade Fair

The sixth edition of Virtual Trade Fair (VTF) for rubber and rubber products was launched by Tripura Minister of Industries and Commerce Santana Chakma at Agartala.

Rubber Board initiated the VTF for rubber and rubber products in 2021 to promote exports in both the domestic and international markets. This provides a unique opportunity for Indian rubber product manufacturers to showcase their innovations to both domestic and international buyers.

The event pitches special focus on the concept of Bharat Sustainable Natural Rubber, highlighting India’s commitment to eco-friendly and future-ready rubber production. By connecting producers with global markets, it not only promotes trade but also encourages sustainable practices throughout the entire rubber industry value chain, from the upstream production sector to the downstream manufacturing sector.

This is a digital platform where potential exporters of rubber/rubber products can display their products, and buyers can access these stalls virtually and negotiate with sellers, thereby fostering networking opportunities between manufacturers, exporters and potential investors, strengthening the rubber industry ecosystem. The initiative highlights India’s growing role in the international rubber trade, enhancing visibility for micro, small and medium enterprises.

Kiran Gitte, Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Tripura; M Vasanthagesan, Executive Director of Rubber Board; Binoi K Kurian, Secretary in-charge, Rubber Board and N Sali, Jt Rubber Production Commissioner, were present on the occasion.
