SunSirs: Côte d'Ivoire's Rubber Exports Dip 0.3% Year-on-year in the First Five Months

Latest data shows that Côte d'Ivoire's rubber exports totaled 749,000 tonnes in the first five months of 2026, a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.3% from the 751,000 tonnes recorded during the same period last year.

Looking specifically at May, export volumes fell by 8.1% year-on-year and 18.8% month-on-month.

Côte d'Ivoire is a major natural rubber producer in Africa. In recent years, the country's rubber exports have steadily increased as farmers, driven by stable returns, have shifted their planting from cocoa to rubber.
