SunSirs: Thailand's Rubber Production Is Estimated to Increase by 2.2%

The latest estimated data shows that Thailand's rubber production is expected to increase by 2.2% to 4.941 million tons in 2026, and 4.837 million tons in 2025. The annual harvest area decreased slightly by 0.2% to 22.325 million lei, and by 2025 it will be 22.359 million lei.

The article shows that Thailand's natural rubber production is expected to increase by 2.2% in 2026, and the expansion of the supply side may exert downward pressure on spot prices, as the increase in market supply will suppress demand side quotations. Based on recent futures data, the closingprice of the main contract 2609 is 16,815 RMB/ton, with a settlement price of 17,040 RMB/ton. The price fluctuation is zero and the trading volume is large, but the change in holdings is flat. The forecast of supply growth may exacerbate the risk of price decline, leading to pressure on futures prices.
