ANRPC Annual Conference 2026
‘Building a Resilient, Competitive and Sustainable Global Natural Rubber Industry’
Monday, 23 November 2026
Pullman Pattaya Hotel G, Pattaya, Thailand
The global natural rubber (NR) industry is at a critical juncture. Rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns, flooding, and climate-related diseases are placing increasing pressure on production and productivity. At the same time, geopolitical tensions, including the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, rising operating costs, narrowing margins, and evolving sustainability requirements are placing additional pressure across the global NR value chain.
As a renewable resource, natural rubber plays an important role in supporting industrial development and the transition towards more sustainable value chains. However, the industry faces a convergence of challenges, including supply constraints, price volatility, declining productivity, tree diseases, rising costs, and increasingly stringent environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements.
These challenges also create opportunities to strengthen productivity and cost competitiveness, enhance value addition, diversify markets, and accelerate sustainable practices. As global decarbonisation efforts advance towards 2030 and regulations such as the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) reshape market access and supply-chain requirements, stakeholders must work together to build supply chains that are environmentally responsible, socially inclusive, transparent, and economically viable.
Achieving this will require innovation, collaboration, investment, and practical solutions. Greater access to appropriate technology, capacity building, technical support, and sustainable finance will be particularly important for smallholders and small and medium-sized enterprises across the NR value chain.
Against this backdrop, the Conference will bring together public- and private-sector stakeholders to examine the key forces shaping the global NR industry, exchange perspectives and experiences, and identify practical pathways towards greater resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability.
Conference Structure
The Conference will comprise five thematic sessions, followed by a moderated panel discussion:
Geopolitics and the Middle East Conflict: Implications for Cost Competitiveness and Profitability
Climate Change: Implications for Sustainable Production and Productivity
Supply–Demand Dynamics and Price Volatility
Advancing Sustainability Beyond EUDR
Protectionist Policies: Implications for Trade and Consumption
The Conference will conclude with a 40-minute High-Level Roundtable on the Future of the Global Natural Rubber Industry, focusing on strategic priorities, collaborative action, and practical pathways towards long-term resilience, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
