ANRPC Welcomes Dr. Satya Tripathi, Secretary General of the Global Sustainable Planet Alliance
Kuala Lumpur, 30 Maret 2026 — The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) hosted Dr. Satya Tripathi, Secretary General of the Global Sustainable Planet Alliance (DSPA), on a courtesy visit to its Secretariat.
Dr. Tripathi met with Dr. Suttipong Angthong, Secretary General of ANRPC, along with Secretariat team members Dr. Lekshmi Nair and Riska Pujiati. The meeting initiated discussions on collaboration between ANRPC and DSPA to advance sustainability in the natural rubber sector.
Both organizations acknowledged the systemic challenges confronting natural rubber–producing countries, including environmental degradation, climate instability, and socio-economic volatility. They emphasized the importance of aligning with the global Green Transition, ensuring natural rubber is sourced through transparent, ethical, and sustainable supply chains.
The dialogue explored opportunities for partnership to strengthen the resilience and ethical integrity of the sector, while supporting smallholders through transformative initiatives that deliver environmental and social impact. The meeting underscored the catalytic role of high-impact partnerships in driving climate adaptation, resilient ecosystems, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive prosperity.
Dr. Tripathi, a renowned development economist and former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations, also participated in ANRPC’s COP30 side event on “Promoting Smallholder Projects for NetZero and Beyond.”
