ANRPC releases Monthly NR Statistical Report, March 2025

29 Apr 2025

The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) releases the Monthly NR Statistical Report, March 2025.

I’m pleased to share an analysis of the global natural rubber (NR) market for March 2025. During this month, NR prices showed significant volatility, trending downward compared to February. This bearish movement in the market can be attributed to several important factors, including the delay of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), changes in US tariff policies, and a drop in oil prices collectively influenced market dynamics, contributing to the overall decline in NR prices.

In the early quarter of the year, although there was strong demand in China, growing concerns over the new US tariff weighed on market sentiments. Below is a summary of the latest trends in NR sector:

Recent updates from ANRPC member countries (AMC) indicate that global NR production is projected to experience steady growth of 0.4% in 2025 compared to 2024. Simultaneously, the demand forecast for 2025 anticipates a rise of 1.5%, driven by the expansion of the electric vehicle market amid growing concerns of a global slowdown, given the complexity of the new US tariff and a potential slowdown in trade.
