In November 2022, the world production recorded a 2.7% growth to 1.426 million tons as compared to 1.389 million tons in last November. While world demand is estimated at 1.301 million tons, increased 0.6% from 1.294 million tons during the same reference period.
In the physical rubber markets, most rubber have inched lower in November 2022, except latex-in-bulk in Kuala Lumpur. The daily price of latex-in-bulk averaged around US$1.04 per kg in November 2022, up 3% from the previous month. While futures market, rubber futures in Shanghai Futures Market have recovered as Covid-19 measures in China eased during late November 2022, the trading activities also increasing as the cyclical year-end demand before Lunar New Year holidays.
