The newly release Natural Rubber Statistics October 2021 is now ready for download.
The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) releases the Natural Rubber Trends, November 2021.
The outlook of global natural rubber (NR) has improved further this month based on the preliminary updates given by Member Governments up to November 2021. Although the production in most producing countries is affected by adverse weather this month, the global production of NR is expected to grow by 2.1% to 13.882 million tonnes. The outlook on global demand remains positive with expansion by 8.7% to 14.076 million. The favourable market fundamental brought positive sentiments to the NR market. Â
The price movements of NR across futures and physical markets have posted an upward price trend during November 2021. This may likely be supported with the supply of raw material remain tight caused by the adverse weather in producing countries. Eg, more rainfalls have affected the tapping activities in the country and lead to lower production. Recently, Thailand has detected an outbreak of new leaf fall disease in eastern region of Thailand, Chanthaburi, Trat province with an affected area of 16 hectares. The said authority is monitoring closely on this matter to prevent further spread to other plantations. Â
Despite governments’ have introduced various stimulus packages and financial aids to rebuild its recovery from pandemic-hit-economy, the recovery momentum is also dependent to the development of Covid-19, i.e., the emergence of Omicron variant had added additional uncertainty during this period. Some countries have reinstated Covid-19 measure to curb the spread to prevent further losses to its economic activities. Â
