SINGAPORE: Japanese rubber futures reversed early gains to dip slightly on Tuesday as investors assessed automotive production halts and Chinese demand worries, while favourable Japanese labour data capped further losses.

SINGAPORE: Japanese rubber futures rebounded on Wednesday, snapping a three-day decline, as optimism on reduced import duties on Thai tyres and strong US labour data overshadowed concerns of soft manufacturing activity and stalling electric vehicle demand.

“All eyes in the rubber industry are currently turned towards the EU Deforestation Regulation. There are waves of opportunity that came before the EUDR and there are waves that will come after [but the] organizations that want to set themselves up for long term success will keep this in mind and paddle to good positions to ride all the incoming waves,” a new op-ed argues.
